Baseball Recap: Palestine-Wheatley Comes Up Short

Palestine-Wheatley suffered their closest loss since March 13th on Monday. They fell just short of the Bauxite Miners by a score of 3-1. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Miners earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Palestine-Wheatley's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Bauxite, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Palestine-Wheatley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bauxite, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-4 loss against Central Arkansas Christian on the 8th.
