Baseball Recap: Lena-Winslow Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lena-Winslow couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Lutheran Crusaders by a score of 8-6 on Saturday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crusaders earlier this season, when they won 10-3.

Luke Madigan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Lena-Winslow moved to 21-8-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-9 record this season.
