Soccer Recap: East Carter Starts Season with Win at Home

East Carter gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They never let the Morgan County Cougars get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. East Carter haven't had any issues with Morgan County recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

East Carter's offense was hitting Morgan County from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Cora Pence led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Carter is headed away from home for the first time to square off against West Carter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Morgan County, they will square off against Paris at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
