Basketball Game Preview: Langston Hughes Panthers vs. Sagemont Prep Lions

The Langston Hughes Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Sagemont Prep Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Langston Hughes will be strutting in after a win while Sagemont Prep will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when Langston Hughes took on Westlake on Tuesday. The Panthers took down the Lions 67-51. The game was the first time the Panthers have beaten the Lions on their court since November 21, 2019.

Meanwhile, Sagemont Prep suffered their closest defeat since January 30th on Friday. They fell just short of Cypress Bay by a score of 44-42. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Langston Hughes has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 55.5 points this season. As for Sagemont Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
