Saint Viator dropped their record down to 8-11-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Marian Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15-1.

Saint Viator took their win against Marian Catholic when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
