Stanwood proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 48) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Snohomish Panthers, sneaking past 52-50. The victory was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Stanwood's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.6 points. As for Snohomish, they moved to 12-6 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Stanwood and Snohomish should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Stanwood (ranked 69th) will meet Everett (ranked 275th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Snohomish will take on Marysville Getchell at 7:15 p.m. on Monday up 260 places (67 vs. 327).
