Baseball Recap: Silsbee Takes a Loss

If Silsbee was feeling good fresh off their 20-1 takedown of West Orange-Stark last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Vidor Pirates by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost three in a row.

Silsbee saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was J Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Silsbee's defeat dropped their record down to 16-11-1. As for Vidor, their win bumped their record up to 15-11.

While Silsbee had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
