Recap: Lake View Wildcats vs. Northtown Pumas
In what's become a running theme this season, the Lake View Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They claimed a resounding 67-34 win over Northtown at home. The win was familiar territory for Lake View who now have five in a row.
Lake View's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Loza, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Duhn, who scored 11 points along with two blocks.
Lake View has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Northtown, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11.
Lake View won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Westinghouse at 5:00 p.m. on January 30th. Westinghouse knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Lake View likes a good challenge. As for Northtown, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Ida Crown Jewish Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
