Softball Recap: Triton Central Triumphs

Triton Central got themselves on the board against Lapel on Saturday, but Lapel never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

The result came thanks to Brylie Couch's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Triton Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayda McKee, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Triton Central's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Lapel, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.

Triton Central has already played their next matchup, a 10-2 victory against Lebanon on the 3rd. As for Lapel, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-0 win against Greencastle on the 3rd.
