Mattoon is a perfect 10-0 against Taylorville since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Greenwave will face off against the Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Mattoon's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past Mahomet-Seymour 1-0.

Meanwhile, Taylorville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to Charleston.

Mattoon has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-2 record this season. As for Taylorville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-18.

Everything went Mattoon's way against Taylorville in their previous meeting back in September, as Mattoon made off with a 12-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Greenwave since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
