Softball Recap: Olympic Heights Lions vs. West Boca Raton Bulls

After flying high against Atlantic last Tuesday, Olympic Heights came back down to earth. The Olympic Heights Lions fell 11-8 to the West Boca Raton Bulls on Thursday. Olympic Heights has not had much luck with West Boca Raton recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Lex Gleichenhaus made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

On West Boca Raton's side, Araya Brunner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. Brunner has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Brunner was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
