Baseball Recap: Hudson Falls Finds Home Field Redemption Against Glens Falls

There's no place like home for Hudson Falls, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Glens Falls Black Bears 3-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Christopher Hunt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Hudson Falls' success: when he posts at least eight strikeouts the team is 3-1 (and 3-8 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Zachary Crossman was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Hudson Falls' win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Glens Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7-1.

Hudson Falls will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Black Bears: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
