Basketball Recap: Dassel-Cokato Comes Up Short

After flying high against Paynesville on Thursday, Dassel-Cokato came back down to earth. The Chargers lost 66-41 to the Watertown-Mayer Royals on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Royals are ranked 46th).

Dassel-Cokato dropped their record down to 9-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Watertown-Mayer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-4.

While Dassel-Cokato had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
