Waubay/Summit posted their biggest victory since December 28, 2023 on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 59-29 win over the Ortonville Trojans. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 94th in South Dakota, while the Trojans are ranked 387th in Minnesota), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory got Waubay/Summit back to even at 5-5. As for Ortonville, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waubay/Summit will square off against Britton-Hecla at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
