Soccer Game Preview: Colleton County vs. Bluffton

Colleton County is 0-10 against Bluffton since April of 2016 but things could change on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Colleton County take on Bluffton at 7:30 p.m. Bluffton took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Colleton County, who comes in off a win.

Colleton County took a seven-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Beaufort, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Colleton County had just enough and edged out Beaufort 1-0 on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Bluffton and Hilton Head Island, and Hilton Head Island kept the tradition alive. Bluffton took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hilton Head Island on Tuesday.

Bluffton's goal came courtesy of Alexis Hernandez, who's now up to three this season.

Colleton County now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Bluffton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Colleton County suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Bluffton in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Colleton County was down 5-0.
