It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sheridan had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top against the Lapel Bulldogs by a score of 54-47. The win was nothing new for the Blackhawks as they're now sitting on 22 straight.

Kenzie Garner continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 40 points and 13 boards. The contest was her seventh in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cecilia Timme, who posted six points and six rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Lapel lost, don't look at Laniah Wills. Despite the final result, she went 12 for 18 en route to 29 points and eight boards. That was a full 61.7% of Lapel's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Sophie Goodwin was another key player, putting up eight points.

Sheridan's victory bumped their record up to 24-1. As for Lapel, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9.

Coming up, Sheridan will square off against Lewis Cass at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. Lewis Cass will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Sheridan surely won't give up without a fight. Lapel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
