Baseball Recap: Warhill Comes Up Short

Warhill made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Tabb, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lions fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Warhill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Tarantino, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Warhill's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Tabb, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Warhill will challenge rival Bruton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tabb is set to take on their familiar foe Poquoson at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 2.9, the Islanders 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
