Sun Prairie West and Sun Prairie East faced off in a cross-town battle on Saturday. The Wolves came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cardinals, sneaking past 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Cardinals last Friday, they had to take a 1-0 loss.

Sun Prairie West is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. Having lost for the first time this season, Sun Prairie East fell to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sun Prairie West is set to square off against their familiar foe Verona at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sun Prairie East will face off against rival Vel Phillips Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cardinals 1.8, the Spartans 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
