There's no place like home for Trinity, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Middletown Blue Raiders 28-27. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Shamrocks have posted since October 11, 2024.

A big part of Trinity's victory came down to the chemistry between Mason Boyer and his top target Maddox Jarzynski. Boyer threw for 223 yards and two TDs while Jarzynski picked up 116 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. That's the most receiving yards Jarzynski has posted since back in August. Brandon Harris handled things on the ground, rushing for 85 yards.

Despite the loss, Middletown still got an impressive performance from Harrison Ortiz, who threw for 292 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt. Ortiz's passing game has become a key predictor of the Blue Raiders' success: the team is 4-2 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.

Trinity pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 5.24 yards per carry in those games compared to only 3.16 in the others. As for Middletown, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Coming up, Trinity will welcome Schuylkill Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Middletown, they will head out to take on Eastern York at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
