If Prestonwood Christian was riding high fresh off their 13-1 takedown of Bishop Lynch last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell just short of the Legacy Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Prestonwood Christian's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prestonwood Christian will take on John Paul II at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will challenge Bishop Lynch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
