Basketball Game Preview: Urbana Tigers vs. Monticello Sages

The Urbana Tigers will square off against the Monticello Sages at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Urbana has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 14.

Urbana lost 43-17 to Champaign Central on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Monticello was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 40-39 to Pontiac. The Sages haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Urbana, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Urbana suffered a grim 42-22 defeat to Monticello in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. Can Urbana avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
