Baseball Recap: Cary-Grove's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

While Cary-Grove's win against Prairie Ridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Wolves on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won five matches in a row.

Keenan Krysh was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Brock Iverson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Cary-Grove kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive games.

Cary-Grove's record now sits at 12-6. As for Prairie Ridge, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5-1.

Cary-Grove will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolves: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
