Baseball Game Preview: New Hope Indians vs. Madison County Tigers

For the second straight game, New Hope will face off against Madison County. The Indians will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Things were looking good for New Hope after they put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Madison County. The Indians' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

New Hope saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Maples, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

The win (which was Madison County's 11th in a row) raised their record to 18-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for New Hope, they now have a losing record of 12-13.
