Football Preview: Peoria Panthers vs. Northwest Christian Crusaders        
        
		
            The Peoria Panthers will face off against the Northwest Christian Crusaders at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Peoria will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Friday, Peoria was able to grind out a solid  win over ALA - West Foothills, taking the game  26-19.

 Dominic Kramer was the offensive standout of the  contest as he threw for 152 yards and three  touchdowns. That's the most  passing touchdowns  he has posted since back in August. Peoria also got a significant boost from  Cristian Zarate, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 90 yards.
 Peoria didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Marcell Colenberg and  Carlos Nunez.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Northwest Christian, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Friday. They managed  a  24-20 victory over St. Mary's  on Friday. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.
 The match pitted two dominant  signal callers against one another in  Laki Wallwork and  Luke Horn. Wallwork had a great game and threw for 230 yards and one  TD while completing 81.5% of his passes. Meanwhile,  Horn was balling out in the loss, throwing for 260 yards and a pair of  touchdowns, while also rushing for 38 yards.
 Northwest Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Peoria, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-3.
Friday's   game might be decided on the ground. Peoria has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 180.4  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Northwest Christian struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 153.5  rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's   matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
 Peoria couldn't quite finish off Northwest Christian in their previous matchup  back in September of 2024 and fell  31-28. Can the Panthers avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
