Basketball Game Preview: Central Eagles vs. North Central Knights

Central is on a seven-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, North Central a nine-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Central Eagles will welcome the North Central Knights at 6:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Central is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Piedmont on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Central was dealt a 46-10 loss at the hands of Piedmont. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 197th in South Carolina, while the Panthers are ranked 400th in North Carolina).

Meanwhile, North Central was beaten by Lugoff-Elgin 66-17 on Monday.

North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Central against North Central when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 58-22 win. Does Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
