Basketball Recap: Tuscola Mountaineers vs. West Henderson Falcons

Tuscola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. The game between them and the West Henderson Falcons didn't end well, with the Tuscola Mountaineers falling 54-40. Gavin Chouinard and Ace Rogers certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Chouinard posted 14 points and seven boards, while Rogers went 7 of 17 on his way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Those seven rebounds gave Chouinard a new career-high.

West Henderson had a senior duo take command as Parker Maltby went 7 for 14 en route to 22 points and three steals and Tyler Nash dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Brady DuVall was another key player, putting up eight points.

Tuscola's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for West Henderson, with the win, they broke their 11-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-14.

Tuscola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-41 defeat against Brevard on the 23rd. West Henderson has also already played their next contest, a 68-58 loss against North Henderson on the 22nd.
