Baseball Recap: Airport Comes Up Short

Airport blew Belleville out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Belleville got their revenge. The Jets fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Jets have suffered since June 1, 2024.

Airport dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Belleville, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-8.

While Airport had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
