Softball Recap: Bartlett Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Chugiak

Bartlett faced Chugiak in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Golden Bears lost 17-2 to the Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Golden Bears couldn't push the score so high this time.

Bartlett saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riah Loia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Bartlett now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Chugiak, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Bartlett didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-6 loss against Dimond on the 3rd. As for Chugiak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-2 win against South Anchorage on the 30th.
