While Lovelady put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Slocum. The Lovelady Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Slocum Mustangs, sneaking past 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since March 5, 2024.

Lovelady is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
