Baseball Recap: Windham Takes a Loss

Windham managed to slip by South Portland the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Red Riots, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss leaves the Eagles still looking for their first win of the season.

Windham saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cam Davis, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Windham's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for South Portland, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Windham will face off against rival Portland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, South Portland is set to challenge their familiar foe Falmouth at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Red Riots 1.1, the Navigators 1.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
