Softball Recap: South Lyon Extends Winning Streak to Three

South Lyon barely beat Walled Lake Western the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 16-1 win on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on three straight.

South Lyon's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Walled Lake Western, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Lyon will host Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Walled Lake Western, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Stevenson at 4:00 p.m. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
