Baseball Recap: Enumclaw Beats White River for Their Third Straight Victory

Enumclaw had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over White River. That's more bragging rights for Enumclaw, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cooper Markham made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 14 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Cole Chiechi was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Graham Wagner was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Enumclaw's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for White River, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Enumclaw will have a chance to go back-to-back against White River: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
