On Friday they take on Greater New Bedford RVT at Somerset Berkley Regional HS Football Field at 7:00 PM. Somerset Berkley Regional will be hoping to build upon the 33-0 win they picked up against Greater New Bedford RVT the last time they played.
Somerset Berkley Regional gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Friday. They got past Durfee with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 6-0. The score was all tied up at the break, but Somerset Berkley Regional were the better team in the second half.
Meanwhile, Greater New Bedford RVT had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 13-19 to Fairhaven.
Somerset Berkley Regional's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Greater New Bedford RVT's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Somerset Berkley Regional's success rolls on or if Greater New Bedford RVT are able to steal their positive momentum.
