Football Game Preview: Hilo Vikings vs. Waiakea Warriors + How To Watch

Hilo is a perfect 10-0 against Waiakea since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Waiakea took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hilo, who comes in off a win.

Hilo took a loss when they played away from home on September 4th, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed two weeks ago. They blew past Hawaii Prep, posting a 42-3 win. That looming 42-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Vikings yet this season.

Meanwhile, Waiakea took a blow against Kealakehe two weeks ago, falling 56-7. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Waiakea's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hilo, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Hilo against Waiakea in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 44-0 win. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
