While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 533rd, while the Grizzlies are ranked 71st).

North Salinas' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pajaro Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
