Basketball Recap: St. Anthony Comes Up Short

St. Anthony was the 2-0 winner over Eastbrook Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Roman Legion were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 34-33 to Eastbrook Academy. Roman Legion fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Eastbrook Academy since Tuesday.

St. Anthony has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Eastbrook Academy, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. St. Anthony is set to challenge their familiar foe Hmong American Peace Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Eastbrook Academy will take on rival Faith Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
