Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Riverdale couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bloomington Central Catholic Saints on Friday. The Rams' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Their offense was headlined by Sarah Mitton and Devan Reikard, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Amarah Coleman and her seven assists. Lola Wainwright controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 26-11-1. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 22 of their last 23 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 36-5 record this season.
