Soccer Game Preview: Caldwell vs. Tuscarawas Valley

Caldwell is 0-6 against Tuscarawas Valley since September of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Redskins will host the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Caldwell has given up an average of 11.3 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Caldwell had taken Edison down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Redskins lost 5-1 to the Wildcats.

Caldwell's goal came courtesy of Emma Hayes, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tuscarawas Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Aquinas a 6-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Tuscarawas Valley's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Tuscarawas Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6-3.

Caldwell suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Tuscarawas Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Redskins were down 6-0.
