Soccer Game Preview: Marion vs. Batesville

The Marion Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Batesville Pioneers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Batesville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Marion, who comes in off a win.

Marion is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They blew past Mills University Studies 8-0 last Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Marion needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, Batesville was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 7-0 to Valley View. While losing is never fun, Batesville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Valley View are ranked seventh).

Marion's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5-1. As for Batesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
