Bishop O'Connell strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against St. Mary's Ryken by a score of 6-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in April.

The team relied heavily on MJ Melvin, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Gigi Payne was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bishop O'Connell's victory bumped their record up to 17-0. As for St. Mary's Ryken, the loss snapped their winning streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 17-4 record.

Coming up, Bishop O'Connell will be playing at home against Saint Gertrude at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.72 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. St. Mary's Ryken does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
