League recap: Shaw dominating on the mound for Triton

Andrew Shaw was the best pitcher in the league this week. He accumulated one win and eight strikeouts.

Kevin Shannon was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .429 average with three RBIs. Meanwhile, Triton put together a 2-5 week.

The Mustangs boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. Triton has given up a mere 155 hits on the year in addition to compiling 73 strikeouts. Marco Martucci is the leader in that category with 17 Ks on the season.

The Mustangs scored a league-best 33 runs this week, adding to their league-leading 124 runs on the season. Kevin Whisler is the team leader in runs scored with 15, while Art Flemming has driven in a team-best 15 runs with his bat.



The Mustangs's Dante Liccketto led the league in strikeouts this week with eight. With 12 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks fourth in the league.

Shannon led the league with nine hits this week for Triton. He is first in the league with 19 hits this year, and has a .452 batting average.
