Tri-County waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the DeMotte Christian Knights an 18-0 shutout. That 18 run margin sets a new team best for the Cavaliers this season.

Madilyn Nevitt made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Tri-County got a massive performance out of Grace Tyler, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Bella Dominguez was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Tri-County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .586. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Tri-County's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.
