Volleyball Recap: Timber Creek Wolves vs. Hagerty Huskies
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Timber Creek can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Hagerty Huskies on Wednesday. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
Timber Creek was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-11.
Despite the loss, Timber Creek still got an impressive performance from Sophia Do, who had nine digs.
Leading Hagerty to victory were Brielle Mullen and Allyson Leach. Mullen had six digs, three blocks, three aces, and a kill, while Leach had 18 digs and a kill. Mullen is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in the last five games she's played dating back to last season.
With the defeat, Timber Creek broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-13. As for Hagerty, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.
Timber Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hagerty, they will challenge Winter Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Winter Park will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Hagerty surely won't give up without a fight.
