Basketball Game Preview: Wadsworth Grizzlies vs. North Royalton Bears

The Wadsworth Grizzlies and the North Royalton Bears will meet on Friday for a tough Bear Battle. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Wadsworth needed a bit of extra time to put away Coventry. They walked away with a 76-68 win over the Comets. The victory was some much needed relief for the Grizzlies as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, North Royalton had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 64-55.

North Royalton pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Wadsworth, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-12.

Wadsworth came up short against North Royalton in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 66-53. Can Wadsworth avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
