Victory Christian Academy took a 21-run loss the last time they faced off against Tri-Township, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Tigers 6-4. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 21-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Victory Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tri-Township, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victory Christian Academy will head out to challenge Marquette Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
