Baseball Game Preview: Montgomery Aztecs vs. Scripps Ranch Falcons

The Montgomery Aztecs will be taking part in a tournament against the Scripps Ranch Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Montgomery's tournament run continued when they took on Coronado on Friday. Montgomery lost 12-1 to Coronado. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Montgomery saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Flores, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Flores' first of the season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Scripps Ranch took on Granite Hills on Friday. Scripps Ranch came up short against Granite Hills, falling 7-1.

Scripps Ranch has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Montgomery now has a losing record of 3-4.

Everything went Montgomery's way against Scripps Ranch when the teams last played back in March of 2023, as Montgomery made off with a 7-0 victory. Does Montgomery have another victory up their sleeve, or will Scripps Ranch turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
