Downey's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Modesto Panthers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 25-8.

Zaniyah Corneille paced Downey's offense, picking up 17 kills. Corneille were helped by Norah Niskanen and Isabelle Altadonna, who contributed 12 assists each. Finally, Corneille was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Despite the loss, Modesto still got an impressive performance from Player #25, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Downey's victory bumped their record up to 25-10. As for Modesto, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-26 record this season.
