Volleyball Recap: Davis County Comes Up Short

Davis County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fairfield Trojans. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Trojans when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Davis County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Fairfield, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-6.

Davis County has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Ottumwa on the 20th. As for Fairfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on the 20th.
