Basketball Recap: West Mecklenburg Hawks vs. Clover Blue Eagles
West Mecklenburg extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 2-8. They had to suffer through a 61-18 loss at the hands of the Clover Blue Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 362nd in North Carolina, while the Blue Eagles are ranked 79th in South Carolina).

West Mecklenburg will take on Palisades in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Clover, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against York at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
