Preview: DeSoto County vs. McKeel Academy
DeSoto County is on a three-game streak of home wins, while McKeel Academy is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The DeSoto County Bulldogs will take on the McKeel Academy Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but DeSoto County had no problem doing just that on Friday. They never let the Knights onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Given DeSoto County's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Robinson is ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, McKeel Academy put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They put the hurt on LaBelle with a sharp 3-0 victory.
DeSoto County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2-1 record this season. As for McKeel Academy, their win bumped their record up to 16-3-2.
